Cal Coast Compliance was founded by Stacey Wooten in 2017 shortly after Prop 64 passed in California. Ms. Wooten is a third generation resident of Santa Barbara County and graduate of Santa Ynez High School, has over 15 years of regulatory compliance in the education industry, and is no stranger to keeping businesses in compliance with state, federal and local laws & regulations.

Ms. Wooten earned her Bachelor’s Degree from San Francisco State University where she also played two years of NCAA division 2 softball. Immediately upon graduating from SFSU, Ms. Wooten went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education. For the next 15 years she worked for private for-profit education companies and startups, quickly elevating those companies to the millionaire status.

In 2014, after a family member who was a medical cultivator unexpectedly passed away, Ms. Wooten realized the potential for problems and the possibility of being taken advantage of. She dove straight in to California’s budding industry quickly navigating through the state and local regulations. At this same time, she decided a law degree would be of great benefit, so she applied and was accepted to law school and was accepted. Ms. Wooten earned her law degree in 2020.

Cal Coast Compliance originally was created to help business operators obtain state licensing through the various agencies. Since inception, Cal Coast Compliance now offers a full spectrum of services ranging from state & local licensing, land use entitlement, SOPs, business consultations and much more.

Ms. Wooten is trustworthy, fully knowledgeable of business from inception to on-going, a quick problem solver, and is always available to her clients. No problem is impossible!
